BRITTA'S APPLE CRISP RECIPE
1 Cup Melted Butter
3 Cups Quick Oats
1 1/2 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Flour
12 to 15 cored, peeled and chunked Apples (Michigan of course)
Ground Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Cloves (sprinkle to taste)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees......grease one standard size cake pan (set aside). Cut up apples (set aside)....In a large mixing bowl mix melted butter, oatmeal, sugar and flour together....should be a moist crumbly consistancy. Press half of the crumble mixture into the bottom of the cake pan.....lightly sprinkle cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg on the pressed crust.....dump the apple chunks on in an even layer.....lightly sprinkle spices over the apples as well. Evenly distribute the second half of the cumble mixture on top of the apples. Place the pan on the center rack of the oven and bake for one hour. Serve warm A La Mode....so yummy!
