Blake Shelton is still apologizing for his big GAC Backstory blunder. It seems many just can’t take it for what it was…a misunderstanding. Blake took to Twitter last night to air his thoughts.
Still sad that Ray thought I was talking about artists. I was only referring to people who don’t like the new direction country is going..I’m so proud of where country music is today… I’ll always stand up for it. It’s my world. My love for Ray Price goes back to the first time I ever performed “Heartaches By The Number” at Ken Lance Sports arena in Ada Ok. #19years Wasn’t and still aren’t a good enough vocalist to perform “For The Good Times”… Ha! Ha! #truth
Even Blake’s wife, Miranda Lambert is surprised by the backlash.
My husband has taught me so much about country music. He studies it. He loves it. It’s his life’s work. @blakeshelton we all have your back!
Some are treating Blake like he pulled a Dixie Chick (and I didn’t really understand that backlash either), but c’mon. You cannot deny where this man’s heart is.
