She may have wrapped her highly-successful “On Fire” Tour in October of last year, but superstar Miranda Lambert hasn’t slowed down. In addition to recording new music with her all-girl trio Pistol Annies, Lambert started a new business venture with the opening of her new boutique, The Pink Pistol, in downtown Tishomingo, Oklahoma.
The lifestyle/general merchandise store, which also features an ice cream parlor, opened on Black Friday. Since the store’s grand opening, the “Mama’s Broken Heart” singer has been manning the shop, and although it’s a lot of work, she says she’s enjoying every bit of it.
“It’s a blast! I’m having so much fun. I’ve been there every single day that I’ve been home. I’ve never worked so hard in my life. I need to go on tour so I don’t have to work so hard,” Miranda recently told Country Weekly. “I have so much fun with it: talking with people, making sodas and sundaes, putting out merchandise and cleaning up boxes. Songwriting was my hobby before, now it’s a full-time job, and I figure everybody needs a hobby and a creative outlet, so I’ve found one.”
The store carries a variety of merchandise selected by Miranda including handmade boots and belts from Corral, Farm Boy & Farm Girl with their fashionable line of clothing and home goods, items from Junk Gypsy including clothing, jewelry and other accessories plus much more. “It’s antiques, gifts, boots, jeans and pretty much everything you can imagine,” she said.
According to The Pink Pistol’s Facebook page, Lambert has no plans to open an online store. So if you’re ever in the Tishomingo area, be sure to stop by. You just might have a chance to meet Lonestar Annie herself.
“Y’all! We got some new cool stuff in today” Lambert Tweeted on Friday. “Come see us tomorrow at The Pink Pistol! Saturday fun day!! Love meetin ‘all kinds of kinds’!”
Lambert won’t have as much time to work at The Pink Pistol in the coming months, however. She kicks off the 2013 ‘Locked & Reloaded’ Tour with Dierks Bentley on January 16 in Columbia, South Carolina.
