I am at home and just checked the new 11am forecast. I just about came out of my chair.
This is new information just in:
Significant Snowfall today and tonight. Significant snowfall is expected today through Friday morning for much ofwestern and central Lower Michigan.
- 6 to 12 inch accumulations along and north of a
South Haven to Lansing line - Snowfall over 12 inches possible between( 14 mile road in Kent County and Route 10 - lesser accumulations of 2 to 4 inches farther south near I-94
Wetter and more dense snow compared to the past couple weeks, which will:
- result in slippery travel conditions both Thursday evening and Friday morning
- make snow removal more difficult
Snow, heavy at times will occur into tonight. The heaviest snow today will fallmainly north of a Kalamazoo to Alma line. The cities of Holland, Muskegon and Grand Rapids could see 2 to 4 inches by 4 pm today with locally higher amounts around Muskegon. Snowfall rates of an inch per hour will be possible. Additional accumulating heavy snow will fall into tonight for the remainder of the region.

NEWAYGO: 13 INCHES
