The National Weather Service says it will be brutally hot this afternoon, the hottest day of the week.
The HEAT ADVISORY continues until midnight tomorrow night. This afternoon the mercury will climb into the low and mid 90's. With the humidity, it will feel like a hundred degrees or better.
There is a real danger of heat exhaustion or heat stroke today. The first sign of real trouble happens when you stop sweating. I had it once, and it wasn't fun. I got inside, cooled off in a cool shower and then slept for several hours.
Please remember water for your animals today.
On Friday, Canadian air will finally push in. But that is certain to touch off some storms, and we'll need to keep an eye on that. They could be big ones!
